 Walking in Obereggen :
 Gamsstallscharte - Latemarhütte

The Gamstallscharte is one of the classic Gipfeltouren between the cliffs of the Latemar, that will give you the opportunity to visit incomparable refuges where you can rest. This hike, suitable for walking enthusiasts and experienced walkers, offers an easy opportunity to access the bizarre world of Felsen. Take the chairlift and head from Nova Ponente to the station above Oberholz. A narrow footpath will take you from here, on the Gamsstallscharte, up the Valsordakessel until you reach footpath no. 506, which to the right leads to the Latemar refuge (1 hour). Follow path no. 22 you can return to the Meier farmstead and to the chairlift in 1 hour or you can choose the footpath for the Ganischger Almund, returning then to Nova Ponente on footpath no.

High altitude hike to the Rosengarten
Enjoy this exceptional high altitude hike! The incredible thing is that it is almost all downhill, with hardly any uphill slopes! You are asking how this is possible? The answer is simple: go by car to the Karerpass, where the chairlift departs that will take you to the Paolina refuge at an altitude of 2125 m. From there you walk on level ground for around 1 hour under the majestic cliffs of the Rosengarten until you reach the Ostertag refuge. Stop here for a rest and to admire the view, before returning to your starting point passing through meadows and almost always going downhill
 Rosengarten  - Vaiolonpass

From the Karerpass the chairlift takes you up to an altitude of 125 m to the Paolina refuge, from where the fairly demanding uphill climb to the Vaiolonpass starts, with a short via ferrata. A narrow path takes you to the pass to the "Roda di Fael" refuge (Rotwandhütte), from where you can decide whether to return comfortably to the Paolina refuge or directly to the Karerpass.

 Rosengarten - Hirzlweg

Take the chairlift to the Paolina refuge, from where follow the "Hirzl - Weg" until you reach the Rosengarten refuge. This is the ideal place to get some refreshments. On the way back, follow pathway 549 until you reach the monument of Christomannos and then return to the Paolina refuge. The return journey on foot through the meadows is also delightful.
