of the "Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme"
The Picture-Gallery of the "Magnifica
Comunità di Fiemme" is located on
the second floor of the Palazzo.It occupies the
former rooms of the bishop´s apartment,
next to the meeting hall, that are decorated with
charming frescoed friezes and wooden ceilings.
The exhibition begins by displaying the most important
documents of the Fiemme Community, original and
ancient copies of the first constitutions or valley
regulations, exhibited along with minor documents
of family life and ancient tools. It also contains
several paintings of the Fiemme Pictorial School.

Civil
Museum"Geology and Ethnography" The
Town Museum of Predazzo was opened in 1899 as Social
Museum by the Teachers´ Society of Fiemme and
Fassa with the intention of giving students the chance
to appreciate the local geological and naturalistic
heritage. This far-sighted environmental awareness has
promoted in the course of the years collections that
were at first of a composite nature but that then expanded
and specialised, with the intention of valorising the
local geological diversity that is exceptionally rich
and renowned.

The
tower of Pisa: The singular characteristic
of this “zirmo” is its trunk leaning towards
the road, which it covers with its foliage like a huge
umbrella. All the cars on the road pass beneath it,
and one question arises spontaneously: how can it stand
there without keeling over? The answer is written in
the language of the tree. You must just park your car
a little way ahead, where there is room, then go to
the base of the trunk and observe it. The part on the
side of the mountain is damaged, and also the thick
roots. |

| Cavalese:
Close to the Palace of the Magnificent Community, the
quadrilateral structure of the tower of the Church of
S. Sebastiano dominates the entire village. From every
side a clock quadrant with imposing hands with golden
tips is visible. |
